AOT: Nine Titans Ranked

In a world where giant titans are devouring humanity like a child devouring candy, the human race has taken a stand to defend itself.

In order to save humanity, a normal individual takes on a 3-15-meter titan. That's what I'm talking about when I say cool!

These titans didn't simply appear out of nowhere or as part of the natural order of things; they were created in some way.

The origins of titans can be traced back to about 2000 years ago, when Ymir Fritz made a bargain with the devil of all earth to obtain power, and as a young girl, she acquired the power of the titans, becoming the first Titan Shifter of The Founding Titan.

Ymir was an eldian king's slave who died protecting him. Following Ymir's death, her daughters Rose, Sheena, and Maria consumed her body in order to retain her powers and pass them on to future generations. Her powers were then divided into the Nine Titans, as we know them today.

The power to transform into one of the Nine Titans, as well as their abilities, has been passed down for generations. unlike regular mindless Titans, these Titans are intelligent and are led by a human host.

The human host are referred to as Titan Shifters.

The Nine Titans are far stronger than regular Titans, and they have unique abilities that can be honed and guided.

The only race of people capable of becoming titans is "the people of Ymir." Thereafter, anyone who inherits the Nine Titans is cursed with the "Curse of Ymir," which reduces their lifespan to only 13 years after they first attain the Power of the Titan, causing their bodies to deteriorate in their final years of life before death.

The power is then passed on to another shifter, who consumes the previous shifter in raw titan form.

In this post, we'll be rating the Nine Titans from Attack on Titan from strongest to weakest.

1. Founding Titan (Shiso no Kyojin)

Many fans are unfamiliar with this giant as it received less screen time and has much to do with the past. As a result, determining its full range of capabilities becomes quite challenging.

Even so, just having the power to create and control titans makes it the god of all titans.

Not just normal titans, it has the ability to create colossus titans, beast titans, and other types of titan.

To top it off, it has the power to alter and manipulate the minds, bodies, and memories of all Ymir subjects, and it does not have to be in the titan form to do so.

There's no doubt about it. The founding titan is by far the strongest on this list.

2. Attack Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin)

Attack Titan, the show's main protagonist, shares the same Japanese name as the show: Shingeki no kyojin.

A 15-meter Titan with a sturdy masculine physique.

The fact that the attack titan is among the big boys comes as no surprise.

Despite the fact that it lacks any confirmed special abilities, it is still the strongest titan in terms of combat due to its high versatility in both attack and defense.

Later in the series, it was revealed that he had the power to harden as a result of a special serum he was injected with.

The Attack Titan also has the ability to remember not only past but also future shifters’ memories.

3. Armored titan (Yoroi no Kyojin)

As the name implies, A full-plated titan with heavily reinforced armored skin, muscularly well-built with advanced physical prowess.

The titan's armor will protect him from a considerable amount of damage, but it isn't invincible.

Although this titan appears to be a full-fledged powerhouse, his armor has a minor drawback as it reduces the speed.

This titan, like the female titan, has the power to harden, making it the most durable of all titans.

4. Beast Titan (Kemono no Kyojin)

As the name implies, this titan resembles a beast ape but depending on the shifter’s personality, it can also turn into other animals. We've only seen Zeke’s ape-like form so far in the series.

Currently in the possession of Zeke Jeager, its long arms serving as its strongest weapon, allowing it to throw items with great accuracy and destructive force.

It has the ability to harden. Along with the ability to transform Ymir subjects into titans, although they must be injected with Zeke's spinal fluid, which takes time, but the ability is extremely strong.

It's also the only titan who understands and speaks fluently in human language.

5.  Female titan (Megata no Kyojin)

Its name comes from the fact that it resembles a woman rather than a man. The Titan's body, despite being a male host, retains female characteristics. Hence the name Female Titan.

In addition to her agility and stamina, the female Titan is very powerful in close combat and can use her hardening ability to protect herself as well as make her punches strike harder. She's a well-rounded titan.

She also has the ability to call upon Pure Titans with her roar. Although She can’t really control them, as they’ll try to eat her. However, in a pinch, the Pure Titans will create just enough havoc to give the Female Titan the upper hand.

6. War Hammer Titan (Sentsui no Kyojin)

This titan wasn’t shown until later in season 4, Its abilities are fundamentally different from those of other titans.

It has ability to harden, but instead of strengthening a single body part, it hardens the titan's entire body. Putting the body in a state of maximum defense. (but can be pierced by the jaw titan’s claw/jaw)

It’s also the only titan to use a custom-made weapon. Using it hardening ability to manipulate and create its signature hammer and cross bar, as well as other weapons.

unlike every other member of the Nine Titans, the war hammer titan is only titan that can be controlled remotely, the Titan's body is usually linked to its human operator through a long flesh cord.

7. Colossal Titan (Cho ogata Kyojin)

The first Titan seen in the series.

The largest of all titans, Colossal, should be at the top of this list, but it is extremely slow and useless in physical combat.

His transformation alone is powerful enough to destroy a small village.

This titan has the ability to create steam that repels objects as well as burn opponents to a crisp. However, the more steam it generates, the weaker it becomes.

8.  Jaw Titan (Agito no Kyojin)

This titan is regarded as the fastest of all titans

The Jaw Titan has immense crushing power in its jaws and claws, powerful enough to pierce through any titan hardening

Despite its small size and weakness, the Jaw Titan excelled in areas with trees and buildings due to its swift mobility and agility.

This titan needs ideal conditions to win, and can be easily killed if a minor mistake is made.

9. Cart Titan (Shariki no Kyojin):

The cart titan only comes in handy when we talk about utility, transporting items. It lacks any attack or defense prowess, no claws or hardening abilities of any sort. Although It can become a real threat when mounted with weapons.

Following the jaw titan, this titan is considered the second fastest of the Nine Titans, with an endurance rating that exceeds the others, allowing it to participate in long missions without resting.

This titan is confined to a supporting role due to its inability to fight on its own, making it the last on the list.

Each of the aforementioned titans are extraordinary in their own way, but we've ranked them in order of importance. What are your views on the matter? Kindly share your thoughts in the comments section!!
